Glendale : Not Guilty Plea in Shooting
A Glendale man has pleaded not guilty to murder and other charges in a Sept. 16 gang-related drive-by shooting that killed Oscar Hernandez, 16, of Glendale.
Robin Carranza, 19, was arraigned on one count of murder, four counts of attempted murder and four counts of assault with a deadly weapon.
The shooting occurred as Hernandez was walking with several friends along Lake Street. Glendale police said the gunfire was the result of a feud between gangs on the city’s south and west sides.
Glendale Municipal Judge Joseph DeVanon ordered Carranza to return Oct. 29 for the setting of a preliminary hearing date.
