Nation IN BRIEF : ARIZONA : Man Owes $74,000 in Child Support

A man whose name topped a nationwide list of delinquent fathers pleaded guilty to dodging $74,000 in support payments for three children since September, 1982. Gregory Morey, 35, of Scottsdale, Ariz., made the plea to get one of three felony charges dropped. Officials said Morey agreed to pay $66,600 in restitution plus interest and other judgments to be set when he is sentenced. He could face 18 months in prison and three years’ probation on each of the remaining counts for his failure to pay $600 a month.
