Canyon Extends Winning Streak in Wrestling to 80

Canyon, the top-ranked wrestling team in the county, extended its dual-meet winning streak to 80 by defeating third-ranked Huntington Beach, 48-14, Saturday in the championship match of the Canyon Tournament.
Canyon has not lost a dual meet since 1986.
Matt Padgett won the 171-pound match for Canyon, which won 11 of the 13 matches. Steve Martinez won the 145-pound match for Huntington Beach.
