I now see The Times citing police chiefs to be the expositors on the Constitution.
As for me I don’t look to the police to interpret my rights under the Constitution, be it free speech or what have you. Should their views be sought regarding First Amendment issues also?
Does The Times plan to publish the views of six police chiefs selected by the National Rifle Assn. for balance? That would be novel!
