In other Southern Section semifinals:
Crossroads 69, Bell-Jeff 54--Ignacio Castro scored 22 points for Bell-Jeff, which trailed by only three points entering the final period of a Division IV-A matchup at Burroughs High.
Crossroads outscored the Guards, 27-15, in the fourth quarter after Bell-Jeff switched to a zone defense.
Serra 75, L.A. Baptist 59--Serra ran to a 20-9 lead after one quarter and the Knights could get no closer than 14 points in the fourth quarter of a Division IV-A game at Canyon High.
Mark Heerema, who averaged 22 points throughout the playoffs for L. A. Baptist (17-7), scored a game-high 24 to lead the Knights.
