After reading many rubber-stamp reviews of books espousing the dominant ideals of altruism and statism, I found Charles Solomon’s review of “The Ayn Rand Column” (Feb. 23) a welcome voice of reason. Whether one agrees with Rand’s ideas or not--and I do--the influence of her brilliantly original novels is enormous. Her Objectivist philosophy and its recognition is long, long overdue.
