Nature Program--The Oak Canyon Nature Center in Anaheim will sponsor a free morning nature program Saturday entitled “Wildflowers Simply Beautiful” for children and their parents.
The program will include a tour along the center’s trails led by a naturalist, who will identify the seasonal spring blooms. These include blue-eyed grass, lupine, phacelia, encelia and chia sage.
It will begin at 10 a.m.

Afternoon Adventures--The Oak Canyon Nature Center is also offering a new after-school program for children.
The program includes hikes, science projects, games and activities and demonstrations about some of the animals who make the center their home.
The classes are for children ages 6 to 10. They will be offered every Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. through the spring.
There is a $3 fee for each class. Pre-registration is required because of limited class size.

Caspers Walk--An urban bird walk will be held at Ronald W. Caspers Wilderness Park on Saturday.
Participants are asked to bring binoculars and a field guide. The walk is free, but there is a $2 fee for parking.
The walk begins at 8 a.m.
The park is at 33401 Ortega Highway, in an unincorporated area of the county east of San Juan Capistrano.
