Blaze at Van Nuys Company Causes $50,000 Damage

A fire caused about $50,000 damage at a one-story Van Nuys industrial building Tuesday, the Los Angeles Fire Department said.
The fire at Decor Tile at 15545 Cabrito Road near Lanark Street began about 7:25 p.m. and was put out about 15 minutes later by about 30 firefighters, said Department spokesman Bob Collis.
The cause of the blaze, which did an estimated $30,00 damage to the structure and about $20,000 damage to the building’s contents, was still under investigation.
