A trust fund has been set up to help the family of a 25-year-old Monterey Park resident who was killed during the Los Angeles riots after clearing debris from his family’s market.
Thanh Lam, a graduate of Alhambra High School, was driving home April 30 from the Compton store, which had been burned in the wake of the Rodney G. King beating verdicts. Lam was shot and killed in his car at Willowbrook Avenue and Alondra Boulevard.
Donations should be sent to the Lam Family Trust Fund, City of Monterey Park, 320 W. Newmark Ave., 91754.
