Glendale : Public Service Building’s Fate
- Share via
The fate of the city’s 63-year-old Public Service Building will be discussed during a public forum tonight from 7 to 9 at City Hall, 613 E. Broadway.
Councilman Larry Zarian, host of the monthly forum, said Public Service Director Michael P. Hopkins and architect Charles Walton, who favor razing the six-story building, will explain their recommendations for an open plaza on the site. A new public service building, twice as large as the old one, will be completed late this year next to it.
Representatives of the Glendale Historical Society and other groups campaigning to save the building also were invited to speak, Zarian said.
