CANOGA PARK : Baby Injured in 3-Story Fall Through Window

An 18-month old baby tumbled through an open window at a Canoga Park apartment complex and fell three stories, the Los Angeles Fire Department said Friday.
Erica Maier suffered internal injuries and was listed in serious condition at Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles, said department spokesman Michael Little. The incident occurred about 8:30 a.m. at the Oakwood Apartment complex in the 22400 block of Victory Boulevard near Shoup Avenue. A small tree that is beneath the window broke the child’s fall, Little said.
