Advanced Photonix Inc., a Camarillo company that makes silicon photodetectors for converting light into energy, reported large losses in its fiscal fourth quarter and year that ended March 31.
The company’s fourth-quarter loss totaled $765,000, on revenue of $1.52 million. For all of its fiscal year, it lost $3.19 million on $2.78 million in revenue.
Year-earlier comparisons were not applicable, it said, because Advanced Photonix acquired its manufacturing operations from Applied Solar Energy Corp. last year and previously had no sales.
