Countywide : Gallegly Names New Campaign Manager

Charles H. Jelloian, former operations director of the private foundation that built the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library, was appointed campaign manager for Rep. Elton Gallegly (R-Simi Valley), the congressman announced Wednesday.
Gallegly is running for a fourth term in the new 23rd Congressional District, which includes Carpinteria and all of Ventura County except Thousand Oaks. His Democratic opponent is education consultant Anita Perez Ferguson.
Jelloian, 32, of Northridge, who replaces Gallegly campaign manager Kay Gallaher, is a former campaign manager and aide to state Sen. Newt Russell (R-Glendale).
Earlier this year, Jelloian considered competing against Assemblywoman Cathie Wright (R-Simi Valley) for an open seat in the California Senate, but decided against it when former Republican Assemblywoman Marian W. La Follette jumped into the primary race.
“This is a major step in completing my campaign team,” Gallegly said in a statement. “Chuck is a people-oriented individual who is very knowledgeable of the issues that are important to our community.”
