A judge in New York ruled that former umpire Pam Postema’s suit against professional baseball for sex discrimination can go to trial. U.S. District Judge Robert Patterson dismissed one charge by Postema, 37, against the American League. He said she waited too long to file her initial complaint against the league with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
