Controversy Over Status of Immigrant Drywall Workers in Strike

Re “Some Drywallers Freed; Most Face Deportation” (July 8): So, the INS is only doing its job! Same with the district attorney, the police and the Sheriff’s Department. Well, where is the state Franchise (Tax) Board, the IRS, the wage and hours enforcers and, above all, Dana Rohrabacher, when it comes time for law and order to be enforced on the employers?

Let’s get our priorities in order here. Like it or not, these men are fathers of U.S. citizens. Who will support the children when they’re deported? What of “family values”? Wake up, Building Industry Assn. and the rest of you movers and shakers, you’re caught in your own hypocrisy.
