LOS ANGELES : Conviction Upheld of Man Who Threatened Reagan

A federal appeals court Friday upheld the conviction of a man accused of threatening former President Ronald Reagan on Independence Day two years ago at the Reagan family’s Bel-Air home.
Gregory Stuart Gordon, 34, who purportedly believed that Reagan was the Antichrist, has served his prison term for the July 4, 1990, incident.
Gordon scaled a wall at the former President’s estate and told a Secret Service agent who intercepted him that “Ronald Reagan is the Antichrist. He must be killed and I must kill him.” Gordon also claimed that he was Christ and said he had been trying to kill Reagan for 10 years.
Reagan and his wife were home when the incident occurred. The former President was by the pool and unaware of the intrusion, and the former First Lady witnessed Gordon’s arrest from her room.
