Some Suggestions for Airport Authority
Burbank, Glendale and Pasadena are the Burbank Airport Authority. They need to accept and use my ideas to better their Airport Authority mission, public support and efforts to stimulate renewed regional economic prosperity and growth.
First, the Burbank Airport Authority needs to limit its expansion goals for the best general results: only expand in Burbank, only use the first development phase of Environmental Impact Report Alternative 1, only use Environmental Impact Report multi-parking from Alternative 5, do 24-hour around-the-clock project building to reduce time, costs and upsetting people.
Second, the Burbank Airport Authority can easily and quickly upgrade itself and its economic dynamics by having: on-site joint ventures with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory, joint ventures with many colleges and universities across our nation, joint ventures with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration for space shuttle and space station missions, several scientific institutes and research and development companies rent Authority property, Beverly Hills of California join the Authority, and Burbank’s power significantly increased within the Authority at all levels.
Third, the Burbank Airport Authority needs to quickly speed up its housing sound-proofing program and developers and all property owners must be fully responsible for sound-proofing their real estate holdings by December, 1998.
