Culver City : Parking Structure to Open
The recently completed Watseka parking structure in the downtown area is scheduled to open today.
The five-story structure contains 330 parking spaces. It features a brick facade to blend in with the next-door Hull Building, which was built in the 1920s.
Culver City officials say the opening marks the beginning of a revitalization program for downtown. The parking structure, at 3844 Watseka Ave., is the first new downtown building in 10 years.
About half of the spaces have been leased to area businesses, including Brotman Medical Center and Albertson Oldsmobile. The remaining spaces are available to the public.
Rates are 50 cents per hour, $4 a day and $44 a month.
