Birmingham 14, Grant 8--The Braves scored touchdowns on their first two possessions at Grant but had to rely on a defensive stand in the last two minutes to preserve the win.
Grant (0-3-1) had the ball on the Birmingham 24-yard line with 2:09 left but could advance no farther.
Birmingham (2-1) marched 44 and 64 yards for its touchdowns.
