You Say It’s Your Birthday: The Beatles will be reunited on the roof of the Capitol Tower in Hollywood today--not the real Beatles, but giant-size cut-out photos of the Fab Four. It’s part of Capitol Records’ celebration of the group’s 30th anniversary; the Beatles’ first single, “Love Me Do,” was recorded in September, 1962. Fans are invited to join in the Beatlemania at the tower at 5 p.m. by participating in a video anniversary greeting, signing an 8-foot anniversary card and eating “Love Me Do” cake. Capitol Records will also release a special CD with two versions of the famous single today.
