Underwriters Reinsurance Co. in Woodland Hills has named Harry Petru Jr. president and chief executive of its new subsidiary, Commercial Underwriters Insurance Co., which will sell property-casualty insurance directly.
William C. Leone also has joined Commercial Underwriters as executive vice president and chief financial officer. Both previously held posts at Topa Insurance Co. in Los Angeles. Underwriters Reinsurance Co. is a unit of Underwriters Re Corp., a privately held concern in Woodland Hills.
