Task Force to Examine Doing Business in Valley

The Mid-San Fernando Valley Chamber of Commerce, citing concerns about taxes, regulations and other “burdens” on businesses, said it has formed a task force to examine the cost of doing business in the Valley.
The chamber, which has a membership of more than 1,100 companies, said the 28-member task force is holding its first meeting this week and will publish an interim report in early December.
“The report will conclusively demonstrate the burden which we all face,” said Kevin Svoboda, the chamber’s president-elect, a task force member. The chamber said its report will identify and provide personal examples of problems businesses and consumers in the Valley face.
