A 28-year-old San Diego woman was found dead in the driver’s seat of a red-and-tan pickup truck parked Monday afternoon on the shoulder of a freeway off-ramp, authorities said.
A Caltrans worker discovered the body at 3:45 p.m. Monday after checking the truck, a Ford Bronco parked on the shoulder of the off-ramp to Imperial Avenue from northbound Interstate 805, San Diego police said.
The county medical examiner’s office identified the woman as Marlene Pinal, and said she had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Investigator John Armendariz said an autopsy is set for today.
