Moving North: The old Knowlwood roadside diner, an Anaheim landmark since the 1920s, is about to get bulldozed to make way for an expansion of the Promenade shopping center.
But fear not, patrons: A new Knowlwood is opening a few yards north of the original on Imperial Highway at La Palma Avenue. It will feature such amenities as air conditioning and modern restrooms while keeping the picnic tables and rural atmosphere of the original, says its owner, Frontier Restaurants Inc.
Other Knowlwood restaurants are in Santa Ana, Corona, Irvine and Rancho Cucamonga.
