St. Bonaventure 27, L.A. Baptist 14--R.J. Kisling rushed 17 times for 123 yards and two touchdowns as the Seraphs (4-1) rallied from a 7-0 deficit with 27 unanswered points at Monroe High.
Kisling opening the scoring with a four-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and added a 31-yard touchdown dash less than two minutes later to give St. Bonaventure a 14-7 halftime lead.
Gino Nucci matched Kisling’s two-touchdown effort in the third period, taking a 15-yard touchdown pass from Brad Burnett and then running three yards for the final Seraph score.
L.A. Baptist quarterback Zack Hernandez opened the scoring with an 18-yard run in the first period, but the Knights (2-3) were not heard from again until Jeff Symington scored from 15 yards out with two minutes to play.
