SIMI VALLEY : 2 Questioned About Shooting of Youth
- Share via
Simi Valley police were questioning two witnesses to the shooting of a San Fernando Valley teen-ager, who was shot in the chest while visiting the home of a Simi Valley friend, authorities said.
Lenny Stotmore, 17, was taken to Simi Valley Adventist Hospital after the 6:30 p.m. shooting. A nursing supervisor said he was still being treated in the emergency room two hours later.
Although the shooting was initially reported to police as an accident, detectives were investigating a report that the shooting followed an argument, said Simi Valley Police Lt. Don Austin.
Austin said Stotmore was visiting a house in the 2400 block of Stow Street at the time of the shooting.
