Re Gore Vidal’s “Live From Golgotha” (Sept. 13):
With any luck, some Christian fundamentalist group will put out a contract on Vidal.
Then he can slink back into the darkness of a well-deserved obscurity with Salman Rushdie and the other literary pretenders of the 20th Century.
What a waste of trees!
