Help for Those With Special Needs

East Los Angeles, Commerce and Cudahy residents who are bedridden, blind or have other special needs can rely on the East Los Angeles sheriff’s station for emergency help.
Those who sign up for a special-needs identification program will be contacted by volunteers during quakes, toxic spills and other emergencies.

Residents in South Gate, Watts and the Willowbrook and Athens areas can apply through the Lynwood sheriff’s station at (213) 537-6111. Those in the Florence-Firestone and Walnut Park areas should call the Firestone sheriff’s facility at (213) 582-7878.
