Def by Temptation (TMC Monday day at 1:15 a.m.) With this smart and stylish 1990 release, actor James Bond III--and now writer-director-producer as well--turns the old vampire-succubus horror picture inside out, discovering all sorts of unexpected possibilities for humor and meaning. Bond plays a small-town Southern youth, a divinity student, on a visit to Harlem.
Under the Influence (Lifetime Tuesday at 10 a.m.) is a serious, compelling 1986 TV movie about a family unraveling because of the father’s alcoholism, starring Andy Griffith, Joyce Van Patten as his wife and Paul Provenza, Season Hubley, Keanu Reeves and Dana Andersen as their four grown children.
Camille Claudel (Bravo Thursday at 6 p.m., again at 11 p.m.) Bruno Nuytten’s 1988 French film is a romantic tragedy in the grand manner, a rich, darkly gorgeous film in which Isabelle Adjani won an Oscar nomination as the tormented sculptor in love with her mentor Auguste Rodin (Gerard Depardieu).
