Shopping in the Foothills: Foothill Ranch Co. of Laguna Hills said Monday that it will begin construction Thursday on the Marketplace at Foothill Ranch, a $12-million, 100,000-square-foot shopping center to serve its 2,743-acre Foothill Ranch planned community.
Space in the center is already 80% leased, the company said. Tenants include Ralphs supermarket, Wells Fargo Bank, Osco Pharmacy, New York Pizzeria, Mail Boxes Etc., Foothill Ranch Dry Cleaners, Finesse Beauty Salon, Finesse Beauty Supply and Time-O-Max One-Hour Photo. The Marketplace is scheduled to open in September, 1993.
Foothill Ranch is about five miles northeast of the junction of the San Diego and Santa Ana freeways in unincorporated Orange County. Foothill Ranch Co. is an affiliate of Hon Development in Laguna Hills.
