PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : RAIDERS : Big Crowd, No TV for Cowboy Game
- Share via
As of 1 p.m. Thursday, the Raiders had sold 76,500 seats for Sunday’s game against the Dallas Cowboys.
That’s far short of a sellout in the Coliseum, capacity 92,488, meaning the television blackout will not be lifted.
But if the attendance figure reaches the expected level of more than 85,000, it will be largest crowd of the season in the NFL.

Quarterback Todd Marinovich practiced Thursday and is expected to start Sunday’s game.
Marinovich, who sprained his left knee against Seattle, experienced some soreness in the knee Wednesday.
“I worked out Tuesday,” he said, “so that might have had a little effect (Wednesday).”
But asked how he felt after Thursday’s workout, Marinovich replied, “One hundred percent.”

Offensive lineman Steve Wright (torn calf muscle) is out of Sunday’s game and might go on the injured reserve list.
