The recently formed Calabasas Planning Commission will hold public hearings in early November on two large development proposals.
At its Nov. 12 meeting, the commission will consider a proposal to build a 40-tee golf driving range and pro shop on about nine acres along Calabasas Road. Commissioners will decide whether to recommend that the developer be allowed to remove five oak trees to build the project.
The commission will also consider the construction of a 5,000-square-foot recreational center for children and senior citizens in the scenic corridor along Old Topanga Canyon Road.
The meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. at Calabasas City Hall, 26135 Mureau Road.
