JUDICIAL RESPECT: A lawsuit by residents against a proposed East Tustin housing development is too hot for local judges. That’s because one of the protesters is Thomas F. Crosby Jr. He happens to be a justice on the 4th District Court of Appeal in Santa Ana and sits in judgment on cases appealed from all of the local courtrooms. The city has learned that all local judges have recused themselves from hearing it, which means the case must go to another county. . . . Grumbles Tustin City Atty. James G. Rourke: “It’s an inconvenience and an added expense to everybody.”
