The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Oct. 19 and Oct. 25:
Glendale Orange Grove Avenue, 700 block--An apartment was broken into through an unlocked window while the victim was hospitalized between Oct. 15 and 20 and jewelry valued at $1,000 was stolen. Corona Drive, 1300 block--Thieves entered a house by forcing open an automatic garage door and stole two TVs, a stereo and compact discs, valued together at $1,915, between 8 and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Foothill Boulevard, 3900 block--A man with a handgun in his waistband robbed a Coast Federal Bank teller of $805 cash at 2:50 p.m. Oct. 19. Rock Glen Avenue, 1600 block--Thieves entered an unsecured subterranean apartment garage on Oct. 21 or 22 and stole two lawn mowers, two edgers, four electric fans and four tires, valued together at $2,320, from one victim; a microwave oven valued at $270 from another victim, and three bicycles, valued together at $750, from a third resident. East Elk Street, 800 block--Burglars removed louvered windows from a house and stole old coins and costume jewelry valued at $1,350 between 10:20 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. Oct. 22. Boynton Street, 1200 block--A woman returned to her apartment to find a male leaving with her purse, jewelry valued at $6,000 and $1,500 in cash at 4:55 p.m. Oct. 24. She and two neighbors chased the thief and got the purse back, but he escaped with the jewelry and money.
Angeles National Forest Angeles Crest Highway, 1/2 mile north of Hidden Springs Cafe--A man and three women were robbed of a 1991 Nissan at 1 a.m. October 24 by a man armed with a revolver. The car was recovered nearby after a crash, but the robber and two purses valued at $40 were gone.
La Canada Flintridge Oakwood Avenue, 4500 block--A shelf unit valued at $1,450 and a chair valued at $90 were reported stolen from the loading dock of the La Canada Flintridge Library on Oct. 19.
La Crescenta Stevens Street, 3100 block--An unoccupied house was burglarized between Oct. 11 and 17, and a box, valued at $1,000 and containing cremated remains, and a TV valued at $275 were stolen.
Atwater Village Glendale Boulevard, 2400 block--A bank teller was robbed of $532 by a man who handed over a note demanding money at 11:45 a.m. Oct. 19. Fletcher Drive, 2300 block--Two men with a handgun robbed a business of $850 cash at 6:05 p.m. Oct. 21. Chevy Chase Drive, 3900 block--Tools valued at $2,500 were reported stolen from a yard on Oct. 25.
Cypress Park Gatewood Street, 2300 block--Money and jewelry valued at $1,400 were stolen from a house between 7:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Cypress Avenue, 1000 block--A gunman entered a hair salon and robbed an employee of $270 cash at 2:50 p.m. Oct. 21. Alice Street, 3300 block--Money and jewelry valued at $1,440 were stolen from a house between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. Oct. 22.
Eagle Rock Saxon Drive, 2700 block--Appliances and jewelry valued at $15,100 were stolen from a house between 8 a.m. and 4:05 p.m. Oct. 19. Colorado Boulevard, 1400 block--Two men forced a man into his office at gunpoint and robbed him of $160 at 3:40 a.m. Oct. 20. Figueroa Street and Yosemite Drive--Two men simulated a handgun and robbed a pedestrian of money and jewelry valued at $265 at 5:20 a.m. Oct. 20. Townsend Avenue, 4800 block--A TV and stereo valued at $4,365 were stolen from a house between 9 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Oct. 22. Colorado Boulevard, 1600 block--Two gunmen robbed a man and woman sitting in a car of money and credit cards valued at $322 at 1:30 a.m. Oct. 24. Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4600 block--Telephones, equipment and a TV valued together at $3,300 were stolen from a business on Oct. 24 or 25.
Echo Park Centennial Street, 900 block--Two men robbed a woman at knifepoint of her purse and money valued at $235 at 1 p.m. Oct. 19. Elysian Park Drive, 1300 block--Thieves used a garden tool to pry open the rear door of an apartment, where they stole firearms and a TV valued at $1,830 between 7 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19. Centennial Street, 900 block--Burglars pried security bars off an apartment and stole jewelry and money valued at $8,650 between 10:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m. Oct. 23.
Highland Park Somers Avenue, 4100 block--A handgun and video equipment valued at $1,200 were stolen from an apartment between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Oct. 19. North Avenue 51, 700 block--Thieves pried open the rear door of a house and stole jewelry and tools valued at $6,235 between 9 and 10:45 p.m. Oct. 19. York Boulevard and Avenue 64--Two men with a handgun robbed a person in a gas station of money and a wallet valued at $225 at 11:45 p.m. Oct. 21. North Avenue 64, 900 block--A woman standing in her front yard at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 22 was robbed of her purse and money valued at $652 by a man who displayed an unknown weapon in his waistband. North Figueroa Street, 5400 block--Three men entered a fast-food restaurant, ordered food and then robbed an employee at gunpoint of $650 at 10 p.m. Oct. 22. Echo Street, 5000 block--Thieves broke into an apartment and stole a stereo and video equipment valued at $1,970 on Oct. 22 or 23. South Avenue 57, 300 block--Tools valued at $2,943 were stolen from a yard between 10:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Oct. 23. Monte Vista Street, 500 block--Money and jewelry valued at $1,800 were stolen from an apartment at 9 p.m. Oct. 23. North Figueroa Street, 4100 block--Household goods and a stereo valued at $5,780 were stolen from a business between 8 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 25.
Glassell Park Alder Drive, 1900 block--Thieves pried open the side door of a house and stole computer equipment and business machines valued at $2,655 on Oct. 18 or 19. Drew Street, 3200 block--Jewelry valued at $1,080 was stolen from an apartment between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Oct. 21.
Los Feliz Inverness Avenue, 2400 block--Burglars smashed the side window of a house, ransacked it and stole art objects valued at $10,000 on Oct. 19 or 20. Virgil Place and Sunset Boulevard--Two armed men ordered a motorist to pull over and then robbed the victim of money and jewelry valued at $472 at 2:45 a.m. Oct. 20. North Mariposa Avenue, 1900 block--Two men forced a man into his home at gunpoint and robbed him of $100 cash and credit cards at 1:15 a.m. Oct. 22. Camero Avenue, 4000 block--Video equipment and cameras valued at $3,420 were stolen from a house between 1:05 and 8:55 p.m. Oct. 22. North Alexandria Avenue, 1900 block--A man with a handgun tied up two men in a house and stole money and jewelry valued at $625, and then fled in the victims’ car.
Silver Lake Riverside Drive, 2000 block--Three armed men entered a business at 4:45 p.m. Oct. 20, ordered everyone to lie down and then took business machines and telephones valued at $12,775.
