COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : No. 1 Golden West Sweeps Saddleback

Golden West, the No. 1-ranked women’s volleyball team in the state, won its 51st consecutive match, defeating Saddleback, 15-0, 15-1, 15-4, in Orange Empire Conference play Wednesday at Golden West College.
Tracy Schriber had 12 kills for the Rustlers (16-0, 7-0 in conference), who extended their conference winning streak to 73.
Yumi Yamazaki had four kills to lead Saddleback (4-9, 2-5).
In other Orange Empire Conference matches:
Fullerton 3, Rancho Santiago 0--Sarah Roney had 10 kills to lead Fullerton (8-3, 5-2) past visiting Rancho Santiago (0-10, 0-7), 15-3, 15-5, 15-3.
Orange Coast 3, Riverside 1--Kris Clemens had 18 kills for visiting Orange Coast (9-4, 6-1), which won, 16-14, 15-11, 10-15, 15-13. Riverside is 4-8, 3-4.
