Motorcyclist Dies of Crash Injuries

FULLERTON — A 19-year-old man involved in a motorcycle accident died of his injuries Sunday, authorities said.
Brian Rooney of Fullerton was apparently speeding near the intersection of Sunny Ridge Drive and Fairview Road early Friday morning when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed, a coroner’s investigator said.
Even though he was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, Rooney suffered severe head and leg injuries.
He was pronounced dead at 1 p.m. at UCI Medical Center in Orange, authorities said.
