Rolling On: In a televised interview in London, Rolling Stone Bill Wyman confirmed earlier reports that he has quit the band, saying that “It’s all over now.” The stone-faced bass player added, “I have many special memories. It has been wonderful. But I thought the last two tours with them were the best we have ever done and so I was quite happy to stop after that.” Wyman, who at 55 was the oldest member of the Rolling Stones, said he was leaving to concentrate on his other music and business interests. He owns a restaurant in London and said he may continue to make solo recordings.
