New Computer Line: Advanced Logic Research Inc. in Irvine on Monday launched a new generation of personal computers designed to take advantage of fast new computer graphics systems.
ALR’s Evolution IV PCs are compatible with the VESA VL local bus standard, an advance in technology for moving data through computer pathways known as buses. Such systems can take advantage of new video components that offer fast-speed and high-resolution graphics, said Dave Kirkey, vice president of worldwide marketing.
The computers, priced from $1,929 to $3,229 plus monitor costs, will be shipping in March.
