John Mazza of Mount Clemens, Mich., defeated Norm Duke, 258-225, in the title match to win the Pro Bowling Assn.’s $210,000 True Value Open at Peoria, Ill. Mazza’s fourth career PBA title and first since Denver in 1991 was worth $42,000.
In the “King of the Hill” match, Ron Williams defeated Mazza, 40-39, in a two-frame roll-off after tying at 225.
