Fay Kanin to Receive Governors Award

Writer-producer Fay Kanin will receive the Governors Award from the American Society of Cinematographers on Feb. 21, the first screenwriter to be so honored by the group.
Kanin is past president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, former president of the screen branch of the Writers Guild of America, West, and a member of the board of trustees of the American Film Institute.
