Kennedy football Coach Mitch Olson has canceled his annual summer trip to Denmark, where he coaches in the European Football League.
Olson has spent six summers in Europe, including three trips in a row, but his plans for this summer changed when he announced his engagement to Margaret Maynard. The wedding is scheduled Aug. 14 in Maine.
“The trips to Denmark are over,” Olson said. “My sister set me up with Margaret and we started dating eight months ago. It’s the best thing that ever happened to me.”
Olson said he would be returning from his honeymoon in time for the beginning of two-a-day practices at Kennedy in preparation for the 1993 season.
