Moloney, from Hacienda Heights Wilson High, made her initial impact on the Cypress program a major one.
Moloney proved to be a dominating offensive force for the Chargers in the Rancho Santiago Lidlifter tournament played over the weekend.
She was eight for 21 in the tournament that featured defending State champion Sacramento City and runner-up Palomar.
She scored five runs, had two triples and two home runs and drove in nine runs for Cypress, which finished second to Palomar.
Cypress won three games Sunday before falling to Palomar, 4-0, in the title game.
Another top performer:
Erika Miller, who scored 25 points as Golden West beat Rancho Santiago, 103-65, Friday to clinch the Orange Empire Conference basketball title.
