Not So Romantic

Regarding “Vagabond Valentines: Six Romantic Retreats,” Feb. 7: My husband took me to Cambria for my birthday in January and we stayed at the Fog Catcher Inn. It was not a romantic retreat. They advertise VCR’s in the room; there were none. If you have plumbing problems as we did, be prepared for them to simply hand you a plunger. The White Water Inn and the Blue Dolphin are two motels in Cambria that are much more romantic and, more importantly, customer oriented. The White Water Inn prepares homemade rolls for breakfast and delivers them to your room (usually still warm) along with coffee and fresh fruit.
