Heavyweight champion Riddick Bowe said he was headed for Somalia to dramatize the plight of the country’s starving and sick. He planned to reach the Somali capital, Mogadishu, today.
Bowe donated $94,000 to help Americares, a U.S. humanitarian organization, deliver 40 tons of food and medicine to Somalia and Kenya.
