Mens Clothiers Southern California Inc., which operates the Mens Clothiers in Santa Ana, filed Friday for reorganization of its finances under Chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Act. The filing in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Santa Ana was driven “by the very bad California economy,” a Mens Clothiers spokesman said Monday. “There are lots of retailers, including (Los Angeles-based) C&R; Clothier’s, in trouble. We’re going to reorganize and ride out the recession.” In its bankruptcy filing, the company listed $570,500 in assets and $896,890.67 in debts.
