Kirby helped her team to a first-round CIF Southern Section Division I-AA victory over Fontana, 80-28. She scored 21 points and grabbed 6 rebounds as the Knights pushed their overall record to 24-0.
Other top prep performers:
Blanca Loza, a junior forward for the Millikan basketball team, scored 13 points and grabbed 16 rebounds as the Rams defeated Schurr, 60-45, in a first-round game of the Southern Section Division I-AA playoffs.
Julie Bouma, a senior center for Valley Christian, scored 20 points and had 10 rebounds as the Crusaders won a first-round game in the Southern Section Division IV-A basketball playoffs. They defeated Bishop, 55-18.
