Child Care Without Green Cards Also Legitimate

Bringing our attention to “the crisis in child care” I realize was the purpose of the nanny article (“For One Nanny, the Day Is Long and Exhausting,” Feb. 17).
But I got a kick out of it on another level. Poor Maria has to act as nursemaid, chauffeur, educator, etc., etc., and earns only $100 a week.
I remember doing all those things and more for about 15 years (not just a one-year contract) and earning nothing. We called it being a mother!
