Shooting at Reseda High

In response to “Student Shot, Dies at Reseda High,” Feb. 23:
I met with my tax man the other day and after our business was concluded it turned out we had something in common. He had graduated from Fairfax High and I from Reseda High--the two schools where students were recently shot and killed.
I wept for their mothers, single mothers trying to do “the right thing” by their boys as I too did for my son (who graduated from Van Nuys High when the greatest danger he faced was having his lunch money stolen).
Will it be necessary for a child to be killed at every high school in Los Angeles for this to hit home--that the killing cannot continue.
