Unboxed Kim: Actress Kim Basinger is scheduled to take the stand today in an L.A. Superior Court jury trial in which Main Line Pictures Inc., the producer of the unreleased “Boxing Helena,” contends that she walked away from a starring role and subsequently caused the producer to lose more than $6.1 million. Basinger’s attorney, Howard Weitzman, contends that the actress never made a final commitment to play the role of Helena. Main Line, however, has produced a memorandum of agreement and compensation and contends that, in Hollywood, movie deals often are made without signatures.
