Bankruptcies Fall in July: The number of Japanese businesses that fell into bankruptcy declined last month but analysts said Friday that the respite was only temporary. In July, there were 1,167 cases of bankruptcy with debts of over 10 million yen ($98,000) each, down 1.3% from June and 1.4% from a year earlier, according to Tokyo Commerce and Industry Research Co.
